This display variant with sensor technology enables the monitoring of access directly at the storage compartment in a Pick-to-Light system, for example for large load carriers. The module does not have a display, but is additionally equipped with a mechanical acknowledgement button.
With the L-5, removal is normally acknowledged via a Pick-to-Light sensor. The detection range (sideways and downwards) can be specifically set to the application via parameters. Alternatively, in certain applications it is possible to confirm removal via the mechanical acknowledgement button in the system.

However, it should be noted here that a quantity display itself is only possible by means of an additional info display. In addition, the F button offers the option of storing functions (example: color change).
Why different system names?
Pick-to-Light
The method Pick-to-Light involves classic order picking with the help of compartment displays. The Pick-to-Light display shows the removal quantity directly on the storage compartment. The Pick-to-Light system usually receives confirmation of the removal by pressing a button on the module.
Pick-to-Light
The term is often used in English-speaking countries instead of Pick-to-Light . The Pick-to-Light method is a Multi-Order-Picking method that focuses on the distribution of items that have just been picked to different orders. The method is classically used with a picking trolley (Pick-by-Cart).
Put-to-Light
The put-to-light method clearly defines the distribution of goods to the target compartments. A classic example of this is replenishment in a flow rack.
